Mac Haul

So this post is super late..I purchased a few  items from the mac heavenly creatures collection as soon as it became available online. I only purchased two blushes in Supernova and Solar Ray. I also purchased a few other items from the permanent line

I must admit that I am not a fan of red lipstick..I`m more of a pink and neutral kind of girl..but I have been hearing so many great reviews on this color..so I decided to back to mac for the infamous color Ruby Woo.

I must say this color is beautiful.

Big Lots Haul

I went to my local Big Lots to pick up a few items.  I came across a few philosophy items..although they had other items as well..these were  the only items I purchased. These were three bucks a piece,,not bad considering that they retail for 20+ dollars each. The items are from left to right as follows:

I also purchased a few Aveeno skincare items. I purchased a clear complexion foaming cleanser and a smart essentials daily detoxifying scrub..which both came with a free sample sized daily moisturizer.

Hot Topic/Sephora Haul

I went to the mall to get some candles from Bath and Body Works when I came across Hot Topic`s War Paint Beauty lip gloss. These were on clearance for 1.99 a piece. The colors are from left to right as follows:

I also stopped by Sephora .I just picked up a Smashbox double ended lipgloss in peepshow for 9.99 and a very beautiful Sephora brand glossy gloss in Tangy Bite for 10 bucks,

Wet n Wild Summer Nail Pail

I spotted the wet n wild summer nail pail at CVS. This set includes a nail file,a nail art kit w/24 nail stencils, toe separator, six nail polishes, one clear coat, and a pail..all for only 9.99.

Wet N Wild Haul

I stopped at my local Walgreens to get a few wet n wild items that were on sale for 99 cents. I grabbed a few  megalast nail polishes..the colors are from left to right as follows:

-I also purchased a few lipsticks..these were 99 cents as well at walgreens..however I purchased one from CVS for 49 cents due to using a few coupons..99cents is still a good deal considering that the normal price for these range from 1.99-2.99 .The colors are from left to right as follows:

I also stopped by CVS to grab a few items. I have been hearing great things about the wet n wild coloricon  brow and eyeliner pencil in dark brown for filling in eyebrows. I wanted to try this first before spending 15 dollars on Mac`s spiked eyebrow pencil.I also grabbed a blush in Mellow Wine.

The Body Needs Haul

I ordered a few items from The Body Needs. They were having a 25% off of the mac lipstick samples and 20% off some some of the mac pigment samples. I wanted to try a few of the mac lipstick samples just to see if I would like the colors before purchasing a full size lipstick for 14.50.I love mac lipsticks but I must admit I have gone to the mac counter or made an order online .. tried the color on my lips and just did not like how it looked ..so this was the perfect opportunity  for me to try a few colors that I have been wanting to try. I also ordered 2 mac pigment samples. The colors are from left to right as follows.

Mac Haul

Mac had free second day shipping..so I placed a small order for a few staple items that I needed.

-Brush Cleaner (13.00) I love this brush cleaner..it cleans my brushes and makes them really soft. I have tried a number of brush cleaners..some have been good and some bad..but I always come back to good ole faithful.

-Fix+ (10.00) I grabbed this 1 fl oz of fix +  for my makeup bag.The larger one is a pain for me to travel with so I wanted a smaller size for convenience purposes.

-Mineralize skinfinish natural in Dark Deep (29.00)  I do not wear foundation ... so this a great alternative for me . I love this skinfinish but If you are looking for something with coverage..this might not be for you...for me it is just a finishing powder for a matte look or dewy look if I spray some fix + after application.

-Duo Image Compact Mirror( 11.00) This mirror is travel friendly and I also use it everyday  to do my eyebrows. I love the fact that it is doubled sided..one regular side and the other side is  magnified.

-Viva Glam Nicki Lipstick (14.50)  I saw this color and fell in love.I have Pink Friday and I have yet to use it.I figured that this color would suit my skintone better than the Pink Friday.The great thing about Mac Viva Glam lipsticks are that  all of the proceeds goes to Mac`s aids fund to help those living with hiv/aids.

A closer look at the Viva Glam Nicki..this color is beautiful.

Z Palette

I searched ebay and found this zebra Z palette for 13 bucks..plus 4 dollars for shipping. It arrived within a few days and  I must say that...I love this palette...much to my surprise it`s very sturdy..not at all flimsy like I thought it would be.I love my mac palettes..however I love the fact that with the z palette you can see the eyeshadow/blush colors without having to play the guessing game..lol. The other great thing about this palette is that it is already magnetized.

Drugstore Haul

I purchased  this beauty from Target.This is the Sonia Kashuk limited edition all out glam brush set that includes 6 brushes and a beautiful case that could be used for a night out in my opinion . I found this in the clearance section for 12.48..what a great price since the original retail price of this is 24.99. The brushes are from left to right as follows:

I also purchased my first Essie polish in play date ..I must say.. this is by far the prettiest lavender shade I have ever seen in nail polish form and I could not find any colors in my collection that would dupe this color.

I gave into the hype and decided to give Maybelline color tattoos a try and since Ulta had these on sale buy 2 get 1 free..I thought  this would be a great time to give them a try. I purchased 2 @ 6.99 a piece and got one for free . I also had a coupon for 3.50 off..so I got 3 of these for 10 bucks and some change..The one color that I really wanted ..they were out of stock so I headed to Walmart to purchase the other must have color  for 5.94.. The colors are from left to right as follows:

-Edgy Emerald
-Painted Purple
-Bad To The Bronze
-Tenacious Teal

I went into my local big lots to look around and did not  really see anything of interest..however i did purchase an eyeshadow brush for 1.50. This brush is super soft.

CVS had a bogo sale on their Essence of Beauty makeup brushes..so I purchased a  crease brush duo set and got the angled blush brush for free..The retail price for these brushes are 5.49 a piece..but I had a 4 dollar extra care buck so I applied it to the total and paid a dollar and some change..Great deal on these brushes.

I decided to purchase the Too Faced Eye Shadow Insurance Policy Set.. This was an awesome deal.This set includes a full size of  shadow insurance that I love... which  retails for 18 bucks on it`s on..,,not to mention the normal retail price for this set is 38 bucks and I paid 19.00 for this set on Hautelook.com...plus 4.95 for shipping. The Palette includes 6 beautiful eyeshadows.

China Glaze Ebay Haul

I was in search of the color Dance Baby from China Glaze  Electropop collection. All of my nearby Sally`s were sold out of this color on the first day the collection released..so I decided to check on ebay for this color..I was so thrilled that I was able to find the color for 5.50 w/free shipping. Since the seller only sold nail items..I checked for other goodies that were on sale. I came across this China Glaze 4 piece one love mini collection that included a free bracelet for 7.49 w/free shipping.My package took approx 4 days to arrive. I stopped into my local Sally`s to take advantage of the buy two get one free on all nail polish sale. China Glaze is my favorite brand of nail polish...so I was more than happy to participate in this sale. The colors are from left to right as follows:

I also grabbed a few items that I needed. I polish my nails once a week and I must say that these are a few of my staple items..from left to right:

-Gelous Advance Nail Gel Coat (4.49 w/beauty club card)..this stuff is amazing..I apply this before I apply my base coat and it keeps my nails nice and strong.I have been using this product for three years now and I love it.

-Out The Door Top Coat (mini) (99 cents clearance)..I`m an avid seche vite user...so I have never tried this product,,but for 99 cents.. I thought I would give it a try since I have been hearing good things about it.

-California Mango Mend (1.99 clearance)..Sally`s description of this product: it is an intense hydrating balm that is specifically designed to cure cracked heels and soften rough, dry patches on hands, elbows and knees. Also excellent for promoting soft cuticles and healthy nail growth. I love this stuff as well and have been using it for 3 years.

OPI Nicki Minaj Haul

I wanted to grab a few of the OPI Nicki Minaj nail polishes. Since there were so many mixed reviews I did not want to spend a lot of money on them and not use them...so I opted to purchase the mini set for 10.95(ebay w/free shipping) and two full size bottles for 7.50 a piece(ebay w/free shipping). I love glitter nail polish and I use them often on my accent nails...so I felt that the glitter nail polish would be more useful so  I purchased the full sizes and I`m so glad I did..the colors are so pretty.Although the mini set has a smaller version of the Save me..I did not mind ..since that is my favorite color from the collection. Elf Haul

I stopped in my local Target to pick up some elf goodies. Elf is one of my favorite drugstore brand of makeup. Their prices are great and I like the quality of  their products..most of the products that I`ve tried...just keep in mind that... with any brand of makeup high or low end you might come across some items that you might not be to fond of.

I purchased the wet gloss lash & brow clear mascara..I  love this stuff and I use this everyday to groom my eyebrows.My eyebrows stay in place all day long...and for 1 buck you can`t beat that..since I use this product on a daily basis I purchased 5 of these

I wanted to try  the elf high definition powder.The cost of this item is 6 dollars.

I must admit I love my mac makeup remover wipes..but I wanted to give these a try..I have been seeing/hearing great reviews on these wipes... I purchased this pack of 20 wipes for 3 dollars

I love this liquid eyeliner.It has great staying power..lasts all day on my eyes.. and the formula is gentle as well. I use the black everyday..so i wanted to try a few colors and of course i had to get a backup of the black, The colors are as follows from left to right:
-Plum
-Teal
-Copper(chunky glitter)
-Black
**Cost:1 dollar

My attempt to swatch the colors..lol... not the best swatches. ..but just wanted you to have a general idea of the colors.For skintone reference..I do not wear foundation..however I do wear Mac`s NW45 concealer and Mac Mineralize skinfinish in Deep Dark. The colors are as follows from top to bottom:

-Black
-Copper
-Teal
-Plum

I saw these  oil blotting sheets and had to try them..The multipack  includes three different kinds of  oil blotting sheets as follows from top to bottom:
-Green Tea Rejuvenating
-Tea Tree Clarifying
-Aloe Soothing
Each pack contains 50 sheets..which is great for the price of three bucks ..you get a total of 150 sheets..Also i picked up the regular oil blotting sheets for 1 dollar which also contain 50 sheets.

I have only tried the black waterproof eyeliner pen.Since i have been loving teals and purples I wanted to give these a try. My only gripe is that these eyeliner pens dry out so fast. I have stored them standing up and they still  dry out fast..These were  1 dollar a piece...colors from left to right:

Also picked up the Lengthening & Defining Mascara, Super Glossy Gloss Lip Shine in the color Angel, and an eye crease brush..all 1 dollar a piece

As strange as this may sound..I love these better than my Urban Decay Primer Potion ..goes to show that just because you pay a higher price does not mean it`s a better product.
